I've been growing my hair out for about a year now. It's about 10 inches in the back and 8 or so in the front. Why don't my bangs grow just as fast as the back? Is it breaking off or is it just slow to grow? Anything I can do to help make the bangs grow just as fast as the back without damaging my hair? A friend suggested hot oil treatments. Any value in this?

My hairdresser said that the side you lay on when you sleep grows fastest. Maybe sleep on your face?
Seriously, I don't know why they don't.

Hmmm...It's kind of like the little baby fine hairs at the nape of the neck. They are always sprouting up with new ones. Some people have more than others.
