How can I comfortably get rid of pubic hair?

I'm male, 29 years old, and I dont like pubic hair. I've used clippers and shaved, but it doesn't stay smooth for any length of time, and often causes bumps. Ive tried nair but it is way too uncomfortable. Is there a way I can do this at home with any long lasting results, or is my only option with a doctor for laser treatment?

How can I comfortably get rid of pubic hair?

Honey...there is really no comforterble way to remove pubic hair. You can wax it, shave it(if you do that use this stuff called Bikini Zone ointment and shave gel..it rocks), Electrolisis. Thats about it that I know of. I had a friend who bought this wax at a drug store though and it was only $10. She used it and said on a scale of 1-10 for pain...10 being OUCH THAT FREAKIN HURTS...she said it was at about a 2. Its called Surgi Wax or something like that.

How can I comfortably get rid of pubic hair?

laser surgery will do it plus the hair won't grow again until 5 years later

How can I comfortably get rid of pubic hair?

i think you're screwed pal.

How can I comfortably get rid of pubic hair?

How can I comfortably get rid of pubic hair?

How can I comfortably get rid of pubic hair?

you could wax, they make a spray to numb you sking before you wax, you can find the spray at sally beauty supply. or you can use tweezers but that will take a lot of time.

How can I comfortably get rid of pubic hair?

brazilian wax!!

How can I comfortably get rid of pubic hair?

Nair seems like a good option, but if you say your don't like it... Laser on the other hand, may be painful. Wax hurts a bit, but it's long lasting and hair grows back scarcer and smoother. But i think there's not a comfortable way.

Suffering from premature hair loss?

I am a young lad. And I am suffering from hair-loss. Its really troubling me. I am almost bald now. I tried for treatment but it didn't work. Can anyone suggest me how to get rid of this prob? Please suggest me any medicine if you can? If there is any natural remedy then please let me know.

Suffering from premature hair loss?

First u should go to a Dr and get some test taken, your thyroid could be having serious troubles. And thendecide if there is another cause, stress, diet, or is your dad bald or grandfather? And hey don't get to worried Bald men are sexy. or just shave your head, lots of men do.

Here it goes, put 2 or 3 contraceptive pills in your regular shampoo and let it sit for 2 or 3 days also then use as regular!!

(YES BIRTH CONTROL PILLS)

Protein.

Eat protein.

How to make hair grow?

get it trimmed and cut off all the split ends then dont brush it when its wet, comb it. and dont touch it too much with your hands..

How to make hair grow?

Cutting won't make your hair grow either... it just makes it healthier (because you get rid of the damage.)

There is no way to magically make hair grow faster. You could try to stimulate the area, little massages and stuff, but that's not proven. Just be patient, and don't damage it more.

How to make hair grow?

use baby oil and that will strengthen your hair

How to make hair grow?

Natural shampoo no chemical for awhile. Brush it often and use hot oil tretments to prevent split ends.

Try curetage products on web.

How to make hair grow?

there are some products that are specifically for damage repairing and hair growth. start with one brand of products, and if it doesnt work for a while, change to another one.

How to make hair grow?

u have several choices:

1.go to dermalologist( skin specialist doctor)...and ask for hair growth tonic,shampoo,..and medication (pills)

a.Rogaine hair tonic,..or other brand that contain MINOXIDIL(hair grwoth enhancer chemical)

b.Kerastase by L'oreal,...shampoo and tonic(contain some chemical compatible to Minoxidil).

Over the counter( not required prescribtion ) medication,..that do not use minoxidil or other substance compatible to that,...NEVER WORKS.

I have my hair thick and fluffy now...(i have bald gene inherittance),...without any transpaltation or other expensive or pain full treatment.

Chemical hair straightening - dyed hair?

I usually get my hair straightened, but it's been months, and all of the previously straightened hair has been cut off

.

I dyed the last few inches of my hair 2 shades darker than my natural color, just to "refresh" the color on the tips.

i've been doing heavy conditioning and treatments every night since.

if i was to get my hair chemically straightened again a week after having dyed it, how bad would the tips be?

Chemical hair straightening - dyed hair?

Better ask your hair dresser. I've heard that your hair can break off from doing both, and if you dyed your hair at home it's really important to share that with your stylist. Good luck with this! It could be worse than just your tips, it could break off at the roots!

Chemical hair straightening - dyed hair?

the tips might just fall off because my sister did the same thing and all of her hair fell off it was horrible if u get it done at the salon then will probably keep it from falling off but i found that they dont get it as straight and its a big risk just use a flat iron it works better then chemicals i find because it makes your hair more silky and its not to much of a hassel

Chi with thinning hair around eyes and on head in front of ears?

I adopted a 3yo black and white Chi/Italian Greyhound mix from the shelter a couple months ago. Her hair was thinning on her head just in front of each ear. I spoke to the vet on hand at the shelter, and he assured me she did not have any skin disease, and that this may simply be a genetic issue. I said I'd love her bald or not.

Recently it seems she's becoming more bald. The fur around her eyes is also thinning (looks like brown circles). You can see her pics here: http://www.dogster.com/pet_page.php?i=41...

She's healty and happy and plays and eats and poops. We're feeding Artemis Fresh Mix Small Breed kibble with Grizzly Salmon Oil (supplement). She is bathed weekly with Earthbath Orange Peel Oil soap free shampoo bar and receives monthly treatment of Revolution.

Is this thinning something I should worry about? Will it continue to progress? Is it simply because her fur is black that it seems more pronounced?

Any advice welcome.

Chi with thinning hair around eyes and on head in front of ears?

I would talk to your vet about doing blood work on her. I worked at a vet clinic for many years and sometimes thinning hair for no obvious reason can be from a thyroid problem. Also, you may want to ask your vet about allergies and possibly try a 3 month round of Revolution (it kills scarcoptic mange and other mites).

Chi with thinning hair around eyes and on head in front of ears?

It could very well be mange either sarcoptic or dermadectic, mande usually starts on the face, head, and limbs and can progress slowly or repidly depending on the emune system of you dog. Just to be safe I would take her to a vet and get a skin scrape they will be able to tell of that what is going on. good luck!!

Chi with thinning hair around eyes and on head in front of ears?

I can't really tell much from the pictures. Chihuahuas do tend to have thin hair between the eyes and ears, and sometimes arounf the eye area. If it would ease your mind, I would take it to another vet just to make sure everything is okay, but from the way it sounds, just sounds like a normal chi trait and of course the IG's have practically no hair. It actually shows up more on my white chis. The skin underneath is black and it is quite pronounced in those areas.

Chi with thinning hair around eyes and on head in front of ears?

I have worked as a Vet. assistant for 11 years. It's hard to tell from the pics how bad it is. Do you have a regular vet. you take your pets to? Sometimes dogs that have come from a shelter, are under so much stress, that the natural resistance there body's have against mites becomes compromised. If her eyes are clean, without any discharge is could be very possible. Go to your vet and see what he or she says.

Chi with thinning hair around eyes and on head in front of ears?

It could be a food allergy. It is also not recommended to bathe your dog weekly so the shampoo could be irritating her skin. Try cutting back the baths to once a month and see if that helps.

Chi with thinning hair around eyes and on head in front of ears?

you should chill on all the bath stuff . to much bathing is not good for the skin

Does anyone have any tips on trying to grow my hair out??

i've had a bob for about 2 years now. i really like it but i want to updat my style. i'm only 14 so my mum won't let me ahve extensions. so i've decided to grow my hair out. i don't want it really long, just so that it covers my shoulders, so it need to grow about another 3 inches. the only problem is it really annoys me. it's still too short to put up, and just feel really strange around my face and neck. also it's quite dry as i live in spain and straighten it quite a lot. i have a conditioning treatment which i use once a week, but i really need tips on how to keep it oin good condition withou cutitng it for about 6 months.

i have bangs and want to keep them, and my hair is heavily razored because it's so thick.can somebody post pics of either mid length hair or sbort hair so i can decide what to do with it. thanks!!

Does anyone have any tips on trying to grow my hair out??

To be completely and truthfully honest, there is no science behind trimming your hair every 6 weeks. What's dead is dead. It will certainly help your hair LOOK better, but it won't help you to elongate your strands. What will is maintaining healthy hair period. Don't shampoo everyday shampoo every other at the most. Showering every day is fine, just condition on the days you are skipping shampooing. This will keep hair clean, as conditioner has some cleaning qualities as well. Unless your hair tends to be greasy, then do that. Also, don't wear hair up when it's wet, this damages and breaks hair, as it is most vulnerable to damage when wet. At night, also leave hair down, don't tie it or clip it up! For the damage from the dry air, keep doing the weekly conditioning treatment, but try this - put the treatment in then tie your hair up in a towel, with the conditioner still on. Leave on for as long as you can, or can stand. It can be itchy I will admit. But the heat from your scalp will help the conditioner absorb and be much much more effective. When you rinse it out, I guarantee it will be the softest and shiniest it has EVER been. :)

Does anyone have any tips on trying to grow my hair out??

To keep it in good condition, use an intensive treatment every 3 days, and you NEED to trim it every 6 weeks at least to keep the ends from splitting and breaking your hair.

As you're growing it you could always put your fringe (bangs) into a quiff and straighten your hair

Does anyone have any tips on trying to grow my hair out??

Keep it healthy! Cut the dead ends off every month or so, and use a shampoo that will keep your hair healthy. Healthy hair grows an inch a month, xtreemly healthy hair grows 1 1/2 inches.

Keep on it, I think you'll look cute with whatever you do. If you can't get it cut, just cut about an inch off and that'll take the dead ends clean.

Does anyone have any tips on trying to grow my hair out??

i would get lots of layers, some short layers on top.. put into it and feathered round the front, with maybe a teardrop fringe, and then you will look like you have a different style already without taking the length you want but cutting out some of the dryness....... good luck xx

Where can I find good gov. drug treatment centers?

I'm a struggling single mother trying to get over my meth addiction. I'm willing to stay at a shelter that has outside resources for drug treatment--although that wouln't be my ideal situation. My problem with finding a program (in a non-ghetto area "Yeah she's off the drugs, but in the hospital from that drive-by) * l o l

Anyways, like I was saying I need a residential facility where my daughter is also able to stay with me.

Thanks for any info you can offer, as I'm going on weeks of research and pulling my hair out at this point.

~D r e a

Where can I find good gov. drug treatment centers?

Without knowing your city and state you can start with this website: http://dasis3.samhsa.gov/

Another way is to Yahoo (or Google) your state's department of health and search their website.

Start there. I'd say good luck, but luck has nothing to do with recovery.

There ARE some facilities in some states that provide care for women with children, there's one here in my hometown and others in the State of Maryland!

Where can I find good gov. drug treatment centers?

http://www.soberrecovery.com/links/cryst...

There are several choices and advice things there.

Where can I find good gov. drug treatment centers?

You should check with the social servies agency in your state. They'll pay for it and will not try to take your child away, if you're concerned about that.

If you're on disability and have Medicare, you can go anywhere you want really.

I've never heard of a rehab or treatment center that allows children. Part of recovery is focusing on you and just you so that you can get better. This is why family members are often not permitted to have contact with you for awhile.

You need to find someone in your family who can take her or have the state find a licensed childcare provider maybe.

Where can I find good gov. drug treatment centers?

Drea, in truth there is no such thing as a good government treatment center, especially for methamphetamine misuse. Have been there, done that and have the franchise on the t-shirts and hats as a former more than gram a day meth mainliner. I am an old-school grad of the USPHS Lexington, KY center for Heroin addiction which proved to be an expensive "bloody farce," Obviously I traded one addiction for another, dumb enough to believe the government would solve my problems of having been raped, issued a "day pass" for lack of self-esteem and stuck with a physical dependence on heroin.

I beat the heroin problem with realization that I no longer wanted to go to jail and have to "kick" in the worst possible surroundings. However, I accepted the use of meth as a solution to my problems and went on a foolhardy journey which eventually led to confinement in a New York nuthouse and escaped from those surroundings via lthe innate "hustle-ing" behavior most of us needle phreaks are able to muster on command or need.

I got lucky. There was something in my search as a human being which became more important than a spike and a spoon and that is what you will have to dig up from your own soul. Could be your daughter enabling you to start for her and finish for yourself..

Sometimes a "geographical" will be of value, "change your playgound," be a stranger in a new community. You must believe in a possible future for both you and your daughter.

Check out your local options such as city or privately funded programs, I'm 30 years clean thanks to one of those and my discovery that there was indeed a future without drugs avaiable to me, and I sure as Hell didn't have any more money available to me than you do. Get bold or get cold as in a slab in the morgue.

Damaged Hair Help?

A friend used Herbal Essence Dye on my hair and it had bleach in it. Something she failed to mention. I noticed within minutes and washed it out, but it severely damaged my hair. I've noticed little hairs sticking up along the top of my head and believe it's my hair breaking off. I've been sleeping with deep conditioner on and a shower cap, but read that I need a Reconstructor. I bought Joico K-Pak reconstructor today, which I read is one of the best. So, here are my questions:

1. Can I sleep with a reconstructor in and do I need to follow with a deep conditioner? Should I add heat?

2. Can too many conditioners and treatments cause more damage?

3. Is there a website that offers a hair dictionary so I can check whether the ingredients of certain products are good or bad?

I live in a VERY small town and when I went to the few salons there are for help, I got conflicting information.

Damaged Hair Help?

I just went through a bout with hair damage from chemicals. I had highlights and got a perm on top of them. The combination of the two had a nair like effect on the highlights in my hair. I ended up having to get it all cut - not super short, but shorter than I wanted to (it was long, it's now the length on my avatar). Anyway, what they didn't cut off, the salon (a very spendy one in downtown Charleston, SC) recommended some products for - but what they told me is that I needed to stay AWAY from PROTEIN treatments - as the proteins make hair "stronger" but by being stronger they become more brittle (think of it this way - a wet spaghetti noodle isn't very strong - a dry one is...the dry one cracks...the wet one bends...get it?) Anyway, the product they sold me was called "Crede ER treatment" developed in Japan for fine hair. IT WORKED WONDERS!!!!! I paid 30 bucks for 8 ounces of it at the salon, but later found 24 ounces for 50 bucks on ebay - and I won't use anything else!! The remains of the highlights looked like blowdried barbie doll hair before I began to use this stuff...my entire head of hair is gorgeous again, and it's only been a week!!! You have to try it!

Damaged Hair Help?

aussie shampoo helped my sisters hair alot, her hair was friend from dyring and straightening it. now its as smooth as can be! there are multiple shampoos.

tresemme' for dry/damaged hair is also good

Damaged Hair Help?

tresemme and aussie are both good brands that work effectively. if u can wash ur hair and let it dry by itself then it wont be as damaged. like wash ur hair the night before that way in the morning it will be dry and u can straighten/curl it then. getting out of the shower drying then straightening/curling is REALLY damaging. u can sleep in conditioner and it wont make it worse. good luck!!!

Whats the solution for receding hair?

My younger brother閳ユ獨 only 24, his hair starts receding, he閳ユ獨 using topical minoxidil but I guess its not helping anyway. What would be the best effective treatment for male pattern alopecia?

Whats the solution for receding hair?

Consult your physician, otherwise there is nothing wrong with baldness - my husband is bald and I find him very sexually attractive.

Whats the solution for receding hair?

According to the ad, you should go see "Advanced hair, yeh, yeh!"

Whats the solution for receding hair?

rogaine, bosley clinic, laser hair treatment

Cheaper method:

Shave your head.

Whats the solution for receding hair?

Rogaine works on many, but you will have to keep using it even after the hair grows back.

Whats the solution for receding hair?

Wear a hat, I think there are hair repalcement treatments but they can be awful expensive.

Remember God only made a rew perfect heads, the rest he covered with hair.

I lost most of my hair at an early age, accept it and think of the money you will have by not having to buy brushes and combs and you will use less shampoo too.

Does a pH balancing shampoo remove the japanese Chi straightening treatment?

I have the Chi straightening treatment in right now, but I'm thinking about going back to my curly hair. Will a pH balancing shampoo remove it? if not does anyone know what will?

Does a pH balancing shampoo remove the japanese Chi straightening treatment?

Nope, sorry it's a lot more permanent than that...it'll take time to wear off or grow out...probably only 6 months or less though

Does a pH balancing shampoo remove the japanese Chi straightening treatment?

It will remove it if you do the Chi straightening treatment first and shampoo it out.

Does a pH balancing shampoo remove the japanese Chi straightening treatment?

well it may take time for th treatment to wear off.

try the shampoo I'm sure it will help you get back to your curly hair.

Does a pH balancing shampoo remove the japanese Chi straightening treatment?

no. the chi straightner system is likea perm it chemical changes the structure of your hair a balanced shampoo will probably dry it out. but if you recently just put the chi. on like in the last 24 hours. use a moisturizing shampoo. which will probably give you a little curl back.

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

Im trying to convince my dad to buy me a straightener because i am really in need of one, he said he will buy me one if i can prove to him that it wont damage my hair, i have thick, strong hair. i have never dyed it, or ever used anything on it before, so i think that my hair is pretty healthy. i cant do any straighteniing treatments if they are expensive.

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

if u get the ceramic straighteners, not the metal ones, and spray heat protection on ur hair before straightening, then it wont damage, dont do it everyday though! it does dry up. since it the heat is obviously hot.

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

Well, look online for proof.

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

a japenese perm might work and it last for 2-3 months good luck =]]

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

well, it does damage your hair

sometimes if you buy a straighning spray ( you spray it on before you straighten) you might be able to say "if i use this first.. it will burn the spray and not my hair" then if he sees the steam you can say its because of the spray

also, tell him you wont use it everyday.. and using a good conditioner will keep it healthier

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

Don't chemically straighten your hair. A good, ceramic plated flat iron (inexpensive $30 is Remington Wet2Straight...I use it in the salon...or expensive $120 would be a CHI iron) won't damage your hair if you are sure to use a good thermal spray (CHI Iron Guard, V05 Miracle Mist are both great) and don't iron your hair DAILY. At most do it every other day. Try to stretch your shampoos to every other day, that way there's no need to blow dry and straighten daily.

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

just use a hair straightener thats what i use for mine

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

It kind of does, and I know this personally, until I started to do it only 1-2 times a week and my hair was alot healthier. You'll be ok if you don't overdo it and find one with plenty of ceramic material- here's a great site, I have the 3rd straightener on the list.

http://www.folica.com/appliances/straigh...

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

you can do it your self just by the box from beauty supply it's under $10 just read instructions I think you just saturated on you hair comb it and wait then follow instruction.

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

ok heres wat you do.... go to wal-mart and you can get several different brands in this stuff... its heat protectant stuff for your hair.. ive bought it in VO5 and Suave and they both work really good.... i use to have damaged hair from my straightner and started using that and now my hair is healthy again.. so just go to the store and show your dad that they have that stuff and that should do the trick unless he doesnt want to buy it for(which would be dumb) lol

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

Buy a straightener with your own money so you don't have to prove anything to your dad.

How comes so many peoples' parents around here try to pass decrees on what their children can and can't do with their hair?

Jesus Christ.

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

Take him to talk with the hairdresser. That will set him straight and make him very conmfortable with the end result.

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

I use a flat iron to straighten my har. They sell protective spray to use prior so it won't damage your hair. I have never chemically straightened it though. Have your dad talk to a professional hairstylist to reassure him.

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

honey I'm sorry to spill it to you but IT WILL what it does is it burns not only you but it burns your hair little by little

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

It's gonna damage your hair to some degree, but you can reduce the effects of the damage.

Use a moisturising shampoo+conditioner and make sure to deep condition it every other week or so. Then you should get a good heat protectant to use on your hair before you straighten it (I use "soya want flat hair" by healthy sexy hair, but there are some good ones you can buy at the store too like treseme or pantene).

Also, make sure you have a good straightening iron. I would get a ceramic ones as those distribute heat evenly and shouldn't fry your hair if used correctly. Don't straighten your hair while it's still wet, thats really bad for it.

If you're gentle with your hair it will stay pretty healthy =)

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

use a chi. its expensive, but if used right, it straightens and doesn't damage ur hair basically. but all straightening does a lil. but only if u ave like curly hair, then it becomes wavy if u straighten it every day. u kno?

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

I'm gonna be honest with you. I have the same type of hair that you do and I got a perm.

I regret it to this day...

It strips your hair of texture and it does damage your hair. And if you're as unlucky as I was, it'll take your hair out if you allow someone else to put it in and leave it in too long.. or if you leave it in too long yourself.

If I were you I'd stay far away from them. I wish I had, now I have to get them or my hair will come out.... again...

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

Using a regular flat iron, will damage your hair over time. Using an iron made to straighten hair, wont necessarily damage your hair if you use straightening products to protect your hair from the heat of the iron. I really don't think you have to worry about much... just make sure you don't iron your hair when its wet.. its best ironed after its cleaned, and blow dried.

(Even if the hair straightening treatments were cheap, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone unless you have a natural extreme frizz.)

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

Chemical Reconstruction of the hair shaft is very damaging to the hair. It will destroy the integrity of the hair.

Im trying to prove to my dad that straightening wont damage my hair?

tell him you will use heat protector. it will protext your hair from heat obviously.

I want to grow my hair superlong!!! I heard MSM pills and prenatals work wonders...?

I have a history of alopecia...but my hair has been growing back( because of scalp stimulating treatments) and I would like it to stay that way. Please help.

I want to grow my hair superlong!!! I heard MSM pills and prenatals work wonders...?

Well other than what you already know you can try gelatin powder a form of protein if you will that is said to grow nails fast and as you guessed hair. Also msm wouldn't hurt, it is also good for arthritis if you have. Another good thing for hair growth is keeping the hair you got on your head. If your hair keep breaking off than you will never have long hair, so try low maintainace styles. Eat plenty of sulfur rich foods, this is good for the hair and also get enough b vitamin and zinc.

Hope this helps a bit.

I want to grow my hair superlong!!! I heard MSM pills and prenatals work wonders...?

Prenatal pills won't help yur hair grow any faster, but may help it become healthier as it grows out.

I want to grow my hair superlong!!! I heard MSM pills and prenatals work wonders...?

put them gel every day in the way you want

hope it helps!!!

I want to grow my hair superlong!!! I heard MSM pills and prenatals work wonders...?

I think it's more the actual being pregnant than the prenatal vitamans. Since hormones are all over the place. And it depends on you personally. My hair didn't grow longer or thicker when I was preggers, it seemed to fall out more.

Have you tried wigs? I know some people think it's terrible or whatever, but think of the many options and how much fun you could have with wigs. =) Or extentions? I would love some extensions.. super fun!

I want to grow my hair superlong!!! I heard MSM pills and prenatals work wonders...?

i dont know about prenatal. i cut mine every 6-8 months for locks of love. it's the protein in a diet such eggs peanut butter.high protein diet it works for me the rest of my family cant grow hair like that.but they dont eat like i do either.they live on junk food and fast food

I want to grow my hair superlong!!! I heard MSM pills and prenatals work wonders...?

I am actually trying to conceive a baby (have been trying for 3 years) and I take prenatals. I think it does help my hair to grow faster. It isn't like you will see it happen over night but it is helping. I guess it probably depends on the person and how they react to that vitamin but it works for me. my hair is also thicker and healthier. I take 2 prenatals a day. I know nothing about MSM pills though because I am limited on what I can take for medications.

I want to grow my hair superlong!!! I heard MSM pills and prenatals work wonders...?

Prenatal vitamins are a hot topic these days. Everyone is touting the benefits of using them prior to getting pregnant to help prevent certain birth defects and continuing them during pregnancy and breastfeeding for continued protection from nutrition deficiencies. However, despite all of the attention these little pills get there are a lot of fallacies as well.

This is false because the goal of prenatal vitamins is to supplement your diet not to replace it. In fact, prenatal vitamins work better when you are eating a healthy diet that includes a variety of foods. There are also known deficiencies in prenatal vitamins, for example calcium. The levels of calcium in the average prenatal vitamin is 250 mg.

A pregnant woman needs about 1,200 - 1,500 mg of calcium daily to help her and the baby adequately grow.

I want to grow my hair superlong!!! I heard MSM pills and prenatals work wonders...?

How much laser hair removal do I need ?

I had laser hair removal done to my entire body 4 times and the body hair grew back. It isnt as thick as it was before. But I was wondering how many more treatments are required to get rid of all the hair ?

How much laser hair removal do I need ?

Ew.

How much laser hair removal do I need ?

Depends on th etype of lazer and the knowledge of person doing it for you.

How much laser hair removal do I need ?

FRANKLY, YOU MAY NOT HAVE MUCH SUCESS IF YOU ARE BLONDE. LASER DOES NOT WORK ON BLONDES THEY SAY.

SOMETIMES THEY WILL GIVE YOU A HAIR DYE TO PICK UP THE HAIR COLOR BUT SOMETIMES THAT DOES NOT WORK.

I'm about to start chemo treatments am I better off letting my hair fall out or just shaving it

If you are comfortable with it, just shave it off so you are not day by day losing the hair and feeling emotional pain each day it happens. You are in my thoughts!

I'm about to start chemo treatments am I better off letting my hair fall out or just shaving it off?

this chick that hosts a local cable show underwent chemo for breast cancer (she was young...early 30's I think, if that). She did a documentary for local PBS showing, as she went to her first appt, etc. and she was thinking she'd keep her hair "as long as possible". Well, it wasnt possible, so she shaved it off (on camera) and was fitted for a wig that very same instant--the wig looked like her own hair and nobody really could tell (other than us who watched the documentary)

So I say shave it. Go for it. Go bald, be proud. Get a wig or just a bunch of cool hats.

PS--her hair is growing back, but she still wears the wig on camera as it's not quite there yet.

I'm about to start chemo treatments am I better off letting my hair fall out or just shaving it off?

take control of at least something thats happening to you shave it off

Good luck I hope you will be well soon

I'm about to start chemo treatments am I better off letting my hair fall out or just shaving it off?

Not all forms of chemo make your hair fall out. If it starts thinning, or falling out in clumps, then go for the shave, or a stunning hat or turban.

Good luck.

I'm about to start chemo treatments am I better off letting my hair fall out or just shaving it off?

both of my aunts had chemo and they both shaved it off, it's too painful to let it go a little at a time, best of luck to you and god bless

I'm about to start chemo treatments am I better off letting my hair fall out or just shaving it off?

My friend let hers fall out, then shaved it when it got kind of "patchy." BTW, she's doing well now, done with chemo and radiation. Her hair's growing back. Peace and blessings to you.

I'm about to start chemo treatments am I better off letting my hair fall out or just shaving it off?

I would shave it off. I have been in the same boat. Twice. The first time I let it all fall out. The second I shaved it. I found shaving it easier as it got it over with. I wore baseball caps and doo rags. Best of Luck! Don't give up the fight!!

I'm about to start chemo treatments am I better off letting my hair fall out or just shaving it off?

my lil u had to have cemo i think u should shave it off cuz it would make a mess in ur bed when ur sleeping

godblass get well soon

I'm about to start chemo treatments am I better off letting my hair fall out or just shaving it off?

I don't know but my aunt is on to her fourth treatment and her hair has just thinned out a bit so it might depend. Wait and see how you go, perhaps, 'cos everyone sems to be different.

Good luck.

I'm about to start chemo treatments am I better off letting my hair fall out or just shaving it off?

Go for it and shave it off yourself. My best friend is going through chemo therapy, (and BTW I am so sorry to hear that, you will get better!!!!) and she said, I would much rather have control over that.....I am not "giving" cancer ANYTHING"!!!!

And she looks fabulous!!!! Very exotic. I never knew how beautiful and graceful her features are.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

Good luck in the New Year!!!

I'm about to start chemo treatments am I better off letting my hair fall out or just shaving it off?

Shave it, then it won't be so tramatizing to see your hair fall out slowly. Thats what my neighbor did and now shes done chemo and her hair is growing back perfectly into cute curls =) Good luck

I'm about to start chemo treatments am I better off letting my hair fall out or just shaving it off?

it depends on if it falls off in patches or not. If it does fall off in patches then it only make sense to cut it. If you are going to wear a wig during the process then if doesn't really matter.

My mom cut her's short and wore a wig. Her hair did get thin but since it was short it didn't look that bad. When it's long and thinning then it look like you need Rogaine or are going through a crisis. Yes this will be a change for you but Wigs can be fun. I wear wiga all the time and I have bra length hair. It's your choice but try on some wigs to see if you like it, they can be fun. Right now I am wearing what I call my holiday har, lol. It's a curly wig, lol.

So see how your hair reacts to the chemo first and then decide. Good Luck, One Love.

I'm about to start chemo treatments am I better off letting my hair fall out or just shaving it off?

I would play around w/ it. Cut a little off at a time.

I'm about to start chemo treatments am I better off letting my hair fall out or just shaving it off?

I am very sorry that you have to undergo treatment like that. I think that shaving it might be in your best interest. It wouldnt be gradual, you would get it all over with at once. Then you can go buy some funky cool wigs if you'd like.

Best of luck and a speedy recovery. You'll be in my prayers.

Girls please help................hair breakage?

i have been using chemicals on my hair such as bleach.last episode was about a month ago. now my hair is shedding really bad. i have tried aphogee protein treatments. deep conditioner treatments. anti-snap by redken and i'm still shedding. do you think i should go to a doctor or it's because of over processing it so much. i dont know what to do/ have you heard of a product called nioxin. is it a good product. i just want it to stop. thanks.

Girls please help................hair breakage?

Guaranteed no breakage. I think you should check out www.biolustreflorida.com

I just went to their launch party and had my hair done, free as a demo. Its amazing, my hair was breaking off and flying away. I will always always buy this stuff. Its awesome, I saw a difference as soon as she rinsed my hair. I have no damage anymore, its unbelievable! No more split-ends, its like my hair is NEW! I love it!

www.biolustreflorida.com

Make sure you watch their video on the site, its amazing. Lady changes her hair color 3 times in 30 minutes with NO DAMAGE

Girls please help................hair breakage?

Sounds like you've used too much on your hair... It also happens with you curl or straighten too much or don't get your hair cut often enough. When you next go to the hair dresses then you should ask them to treat it and cut off all split ends. This is the only way to ensure good hair again. Try not to treat your hair too much and too much bleaching can also dry your hair out.

Girls please help................hair breakage?

stop using so much chemicals and if after 1month and same result visit a hair specialist

Girls please help................hair breakage?

If you are worried that much you probably should see a doctor. I might as well do the same because I am experiencing hair fallout right now which started about 2 months ago after a salon blowdried my hair to like toast. I have had hair treatments previous to this as well.

Let's both just let the damaged hair fall off and have it regrow. Better take it easy on the chemicals too.

Girls please help................hair breakage?

When my hair starts to get bad from over processing I usually start putting pantene conditioner in it over night and rinsing it out in the morning. I also try not to blow dry as often. Hope this helps.

Girls please help................hair breakage?

it happen to me hunn! don't worry, try to use GNC Women's Ultra Nourishair, Tablets 60 ea, and use Smooth N' Shine repair extreme! it works well! trust me! stop bleaching your hair! or go to the doctors, what they can suggest you.

I need every remedy possible for DRY hair!!?

I have tried almost everything that is the most obvious thing to do. I deep condition a lot and have used professional products recommended by my salon; I switch off the deep conditioners so it's not the same one every time. I use hot oil treatments once a week; sometimes twice. I cut my hair as often as it is needed to get the split ends off. I quit dying my hair 2 months ago. BUT: I still have dry hair. There is a few pieces that are the worst around my face and they bother me so much!!

I would like to know every possible remedy to help dry hair go away without the drasticity of cutting off all of my hair....I can't do it and I won't. So it's not an option. Please let me know if anything has worked for you.

I need every remedy possible for DRY hair!!?

Ok, here it is the answer that you've been looking for: Don't wash your hair everyday it's NOT necessary unless you have really oily hair/scalp ! You also need to brush your hair to distribute the hairs natural oils. If your hair is still dry, then use a mild/gentle shampoo 2x a week. Always use a conditioner and you can use olive oil to deep condition your hair once a week. It doesn't cost a lof of money and your hair will look great... Good luck

My hair is looks dull and fizzly, is there any homemade recipes or treatments that I can use?

My hair is damaged due to daily waxing and geling. How Can I make it looks good even when I don't gel?

My hair is looks dull and fizzly, is there any homemade recipes or treatments that I can use?

hmmm well what type of hair do you have?? for that is the question.. many ppl are buying biosilk products.. they are good.. but as for homemade.. i havent got a clue.. i dont have enough time to think about makin my own stuff if i cant buy it i dont need it

My hair is looks dull and fizzly, is there any homemade recipes or treatments that I can use?

Ok this is the best homemade treatment for your hair, very simple too. Hot oil treatment, get enough olive oil to cover you hair and heat it in the microwave until hot, then rub it through you hair, wrap you head in cling wrap and a warm towel to keep the heat in and then leave it for half an hour and then shampoo out. Trust me this will make your hair feel normal again

My hair is looks dull and fizzly, is there any homemade recipes or treatments that I can use?

take a little bit of olive oil, maybe a half-pea sized amount, rub it in your palms, and smooth it through your hair (under it also, not just on top). my hair is naturally dry, frizzy and curly, and i dont even do anything to it ever, and this is my miracle treatment.

My hair is looks dull and fizzly, is there any homemade recipes or treatments that I can use?

A good moisturizer is mayonnaise. It stinks but putting it on your hair after you wash it then leaving it up in a towel for about an hour before rinsing it out gives it a good shine. This is not something you should do more than once a month. Hope this helps.

My hair is looks dull and fizzly, is there any homemade recipes or treatments that I can use?

Couple things:

1. Do a weekly hot oil treatment. There are tons of products out there but honestly, I use EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) and it works great. Do it in the shower to avoid messes and then wrap a towel around your head. Wait 15 minutes. Get back in the shower and rinse your hair. Follow with shampoo and conditioner. Extra tip: Rinse the conditioner out of your hair with the hottest water you can stand. This will open the hair cuticle to allow the conditioners nutrients in. After you rinse, turn the cold water on (again, as cold as you can stand it) and rinse your hair for 30 seconds. The cold water seals the cuticle and traps those nutrients for you. Good luck!

I've heard mayonnaise also, just put it on and leave it for ten minutes or so then wash out. I've also heard beer, eggs and honey mixture on hair, as well as eggs in the hair rinsed out with beer. I know it sounds strange, and I've never tried it but I've hear it works well for soft shiny hair.

Sunsilk products will fix it all for you. You will not need anything else.

Looking for a good pre shampoo treatment for dry, chemically treated hair?

HI,

I have quite dry, chemically treated hair and use a high powered hairdryer and also ghd straightners. I have tried burts bees avocado butter but it makes my hair kink after being straightened, so not ideal !

Can anyone suggest something else, which I can use on wet hair before shampoo-ing it ?

Thanks in advance.

Looking for a good pre shampoo treatment for dry, chemically treated hair?

Clairol puts out a hot oil treatment that is wonderful. It is tubes of oil that you heat up in hot water for a minute before applying to wet hair and there's four treatments to a box. I think you can use them as often as you like, but once a week is recommended.

How should I deal with my back hair?

I don't have the $$ to throw at laser treatment, and there's no easy way to get back there to shave or anything. I don't think my roommates would be too keen on helping me out (and I don't blame em...egh). I don't like it and I'm sure girls think back hair is disgusting. What do you suggest? Light my back on fire?

How to treat dry and severly damaged hair?

Growing up with my father I never knew how to grow out my hair properly and playing sports i'd shower twice a day thus washing my hair . Most of the time I didn't even bother to use conditioner . As my hair got longer it's kind of wavy so i'd straigthen it every day without using anything to protect my hair . Now my hair is severly dry and feels like dry grass . I've been trying to restore it with deep moisturizing shampoos , conditioners and leave in conditioners . It feels softer but doesn't look much better . Sometimes I pull out a hair and it looks like a sound wave and feels very coarse . I've been treating my hair for about 6 weeks now and I can't say its improved much . I've cut down to washing my hair every other day as well . I've tried homemade deep conditioning treatments every now and then too . Is my hair too damaged to turn back? Do I need to shave it off and grow it back proplerly? Oh and when I straighten my hair now I use some creme that protects it from heat damage.

How to treat dry and severly damaged hair?

ask hair salon

How to treat dry and severly damaged hair?

Ask your hair stylist. Avacados make your hair soft

How to treat dry and severly damaged hair?

Go to your local beauty supply buy a conditioner/hair treatment pak or hot oil treatment pack. Use weekly or monthly as needed

How to treat dry and severly damaged hair?

yea i have the same problem,i have wavy hair for a guy,and i spike my hair everyday with gel, heres what you can do to improve it,i would suggest washin your hair like 2 or 3 times a week i would say 2.when you get out da shower, get a bush and just bush your hair.i've seen improvement on me in just 2 weeks.also wen you get a hair cut, tell da person who cuts ur hair to thin your hair.good luck my hair is still kinda wavy but now its like 91% good hair back den it was like 40%. good luck dude i feel da pain

How to treat dry and severly damaged hair?

Yes. Sounds like it is way too damaged. You might want to consider getting it cut as short as you can stand it.

www.matrix.com has a hairstyle section for men and women with detailed photos so you can get some ideas.

Best thing I've found to fight frizz is a tiny drop of jojoba oil. Squeeze a bit on your palms, rub them together %26amp; run your hands through your hair back to front. Desert Essence if my favorite brand. I buy it at Trader Joe's. (www.desertessence.com)

Jojoba oil is non-comedogenic, washes out easily, conditions your hair and closely matches our skin's natural oils.

How to treat dry and severly damaged hair?

use straight manoaize, not salad dressing, put it on dry hair, put a plastic bag over it and let it set for 30 min., it willl stink but it works, then u have to really wash it out, try washing u'r hair twice a week. Hope this helps.

How to treat dry and severly damaged hair?

get a nutrients inforced hair shampoo and DEFINATLY CONDITIONER they have special spray that REALLY works to keep you hair full and fresh! if you still play sports that great but ONLY shower ONCE or every other day otherwise you hair will grow DRYER and DRYER, keep using the creme that protects it from heat damage cut your hair to about an inch below the shoulders and every two months get split ends cut!

How to treat dry and severly damaged hair?

I suggest get a trim.. cut off the damage.

try and cut back on straighten your hair to like only on the weekends until your hair becomes healthy again and defiantly use that creme when you do.

How to treat dry and severly damaged hair?

Stop using all different shampoos and conditioners it'll make you hair worse. I am like you, I love sports, baseball, basketball, soccer, dance, ect... So I shower every night. But every other night I shampoo my hair because if you shampoo it every day it'll be greasy and disgusting! I use Dove Volume 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner. If you have any fashion Q's ask me! I know everything about fashion!

How to treat dry and severly damaged hair?

i have naturally curly/dry hair and i've found that after i wash my hair if i put pure olive oil (the plain ole store bought kind) on it (not a lot, just 1 or 2 teaspoons full) then let my hair dry naturally (usually pulled back in a ponytail) it helps a lot.

you may want to get a haircut (trim the end at least) and start from there. you may also want to lay off the products like hairspray or gel (read the ingredients when your looking for new products...) anything like that has alcohol in it which dries your hair out further. also stay away from curling irons or blow driers...good luck!

How to treat dry and severly damaged hair?

A good trim would probably be in order, but I don't think shaving it off is necessary. A little bit of Olive oil works wonders. After you wash your hair rub a dab of it in wrap your hair in a damp towel and sit in the sun for about 10min this will work wonders. Get a trim every 6weeks also make sure your using the right product for your hair. Stuff for wavy curly should be good. Good luck to you

How to treat dry and severly damaged hair?

Depending on the length of your hair and the severty of the damage you may have to cut some of it off. I would actually agree with others that have posted and say go to a salon.

But a few tricks to try on your own.

when you wash your hair towle dry it and then brush it out with your fingers take about a 1" section and twirl it around it hairs start to pop away from the main twist- look at them are the ends split? If so you need a hair cut, there is not much of a chance of saving hair once it had began to split- only cut it above the damage and let it grow back out.

if you want to try and save it try washing your hair only when it needs it (skip a day or two untill it gets gross to you feels heavey or slick) your scalp lets off natural oils that take time to reach the tip of your hair and are the best BEST treatment for damaged hair use clean hands to brush through your hair

also through the day you can get some infusim 23 leave in treatment and pour in a small spray bottle to keep with you and aplly a SMALL amount to your hair- spray it in your hands and then work it through your hair.

How to treat dry and severly damaged hair?

ok if your hair is very dry and damaged then when you are washing your ahir make sure to use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. (try herbal essences for dry %26amp; damaged hair) when you get out of the shower you shoudl still blow your hair dry, because you still want it to look good, but use it on low and use the cool setting if yuor dryer has one.it might take a little longer to dry,but it wont damage your hair and it wil look good. if you want to straighten your ahir then ue any silicone based prodeuct and put it in ur ahir before you dtraighten,it will protect your ahir from the heat. you might also want to cut your ahir a little bit shorter, jsut until it gets healthy again.

oops i forgot one thing..try going to your salon and asking if they ahev something called a ahir mask.after shampooing your hair put it in and let it sit for about fifteen minutes it helps to make it smoother and look and feel healthier.

I was wondering if Loreal's Nature's therapy hot oil is good to use for a hot oil treatmen

My hair has been dry and breaking recently and someone suggested I do an hot oil treatment. I've used V05 before but I can't remember if it worked or not. So I decided to try something new and the sales lady at the beauty supply store sugggested Loreal's Nature's Therapy for a hot oil treatment. Has anyone used it and can tell me how it works.

I was wondering if Loreal's Nature's therapy hot oil is good to use for a hot oil treatment?

Use an Olive Oil hair treatment, Olive oil is always best for hair.. When you do, make sure you rinse hair with cool water so it would lock in moisture, warm water would just rinse it all out..

I was wondering if Loreal's Nature's therapy hot oil is good to use for a hot oil treatment?

You probably heat it and put it in your hair. Sounds a bit expensive to me. Why not wash your hair with a beer-egg yolk mixture. This is cheap and works wonders.

How do you save your hair after it's been fried?

I recently had my hair highlighted. This is something I do every two months, but this time my hair was ruined.

It's naturally curly -- and that's the way I wear it. Now it kinks instead of curls and several pieces are stick straight. Is there any way I can repair it? A good conditioning treatment . . . ?

How do you save your hair after it's been fried?

If you get it done every two months, this really shouldnt have been a problem, and it should have just been a retouch. It sounds like she probably covered whole strands of your hair with bleach, instead of just the regrowth.

Try Aveda's Damage Remedy line, and look for a leave-in product called "It's a 10".

This happened to me when I bleached the top half of my hair, i had to do it three times. I used "It's a 10", and my hair is incredibly healthy today from it.

How do you save your hair after it's been fried?

First...do not damge your hair any more, give it a rest.... use the best products, try a deep conditioner, do not apply any heat to your hair for a while.... be gentle when you comb/brush out your hair when wet, or just pick it out and dont brush it......

How do you save your hair after it's been fried?

Depending on if they used bleach or a High Lift Color System to lighten would help answer your question better. But if its fried usually getting it trimmed till the damaged part is cut off is your only answer. You can baby your hair with treatments (conditioning) they offer from the salon but it will not FIX the hair. Every 2 months is too often to have hair done unless you keep very short. Your stylist knows that. We ladies want our hair perfect these days because its looks so good kept up but we are KILLING our hair. Most good stylist will not do this every 2 months because they know the damage. I will not do that to my clients...I often refuse clients with damaged hair.

How do you save your hair after it's been fried?

here are some home remedies which are very good for dry hair. i had dry hair myself but when i tried these tips it was great! they've never been dry again!

Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a "little" honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Beat up on an Egg: Separate the white of an egg from the yolk, and whip the white thoroughly. Then add 1 tablespoon of water to the yolk and blend until the mixture is creamy. Next, mix the white and yolk together. Wet your hair with warm water, remove the excess moisture, and apply the egg mixture to your scalp with your fingertips. Massage gently until the froth is worked into your scalp, and then rinse the hair with cool water. Keep applying the mixture until it is used up. Continue to rinse until all of the egg is washed away

Go for the Mayo: Heat up one half cup of mayonnaise until it becomes an oily, white goo and apply to dry, unwashed hair. Cover your hair with a plastic bag and leave on for at least 15 minutes. Then, rinse and shampoo thoroughly.

Mix up a Tropical Treat: Mash one over-ripe banana (the blacker, the better) with a mushy, rotten avocado. Massage this exotic puree into your hair and leave on for at least 15 minutes before washing out鈥n the kitchen sink!).

Grab a Cold One. Beer can give your dry hair a healthy sheen. Before you blow-dry or style, use a pump bottle to spray brew onto your hair. The beer will leave your hair shiny and sleek and its odor will disappear quickly.

In addition to using these home remedies regularly to avoid dry hair, try the following preventative measures:

Avoid overshampooing. Shampooing can wash away the hair's protective oils, so try washing less often and use a mild shampoo labeled "for dry or damaged hair."

Condition regularly. Conditioners protect the hair鈥檚 cuticle layer from splitting from the shaft. Pick a conditioner that works well for your hair and use it after every shampoo.

Wear a hat. Too much exposure to wind and sun can leave hair thirsty.

Trim off split ends. The biggest problem caused by dry hair is split ends. Schedule a trim every six to eight weeks to keep fraying ends under control.

Ease up on the heat. Heat (in the form of blow dryers, as well as straightening and curling irons) can quickly dry out hair. Let your hair air dry occasionally. Try using plastic cylinder rollers to straighten hair by wrapping slightly moist hair under and around rollers for about 10 minutes. For curling, try using sponge rollers overnight or sleeping with moist braids.

Don't swim without a cap. Use a rubber cap to protect your hair from the damaging effects of chlorine. If you must forgo a cap, rub a spoonful of olive oil into your hair before diving in.

Another thing is also putting in lotion in your hair after you have gotten out of the shower and you can also put in lotion in hair after you have dried it.

Just rub some lotion on your finger tips and run it through your hair evenly.

Also, something that will help your hair is to take COLDshowers. What most people dont know is that if you take hot showers, the heat gets rid of the oils and other things that your hair needs to be kept healty and shiney.

Smash an avocado and mix with jojoba and peppermint oils. Make sure its really smooth you may want to put it in a food processor with a little water. Then apply some to your scalp and the rest on your hair. Massage for a minute or so then put on a plastic cap. Leave for 15 to 30 minutes. The avocado and jojoba oils will moisterize and the peppermint will stimulate your scalp to loosen any dead skin and open your pores. It will feel great. Your hair will grow better and won't be dry. :)

Hope this helps!

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, Sydney Smooth Treatment?

I've decided to try a deep conditioner to revive my fried hair :D(thanks to my flat iron) and I've recently bought the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, Sydney Smooth Treatment. It wasn't to expensive so I decided to pick it up, however I was just wondering if anyone else here has any experience with it?

I'd like to see if it has worked for anyone else before I decided to use it.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, Sydney Smooth Treatment?

I did use it because of the same reason and it worked but it made my hair greasy because I used it more than once a week and I think I might have put too much in. I would have to advise you not to use it to an extreme and put it more towards the ends as well as avoid your scalp but if you are more on the smooth side for your hair than the dry side, I would use either Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight (Great smoothing formula) or Head And Shoulders which is actually for dandruff but even if you don't have dandruff it smooths your hair out very nicely.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, Sydney Smooth Treatment?

no. aussie smells SOO good, so i bought it. hahaha i know, stupid.

but it doesn't really do what it says it will... but if you want your hair to smell good, go ahead

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, Sydney Smooth Treatment?

I heard it works very well and that it smells good.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle, Sydney Smooth Treatment?

Could you please let me know where you purchased the 3 minute miracle treatment? We live in Perth, maybe they have the Australian supplier on the packet? We can't seem to find it over here. Thanks.

Have you had laser hair removal?

I want to get laser hair removal on my legs and bikini area. I would like to hear from people who have gotten it. Is it painful? Is it worth it? How much did you pay per session? How many sessions did you have to have? Does having this treatment change how your skin looks?

Have you had laser hair removal?

Yes, I'm actually still having treatments. I recommend American Laser Centers. They are wonderful and the nice thing about them is that if you ever move or are on vacay, you can visit any of their clinics nationwide.

I got the bikini brazlilian package with $300 off (I won a drawing they had - they offer them a lot online, so check that out if you're really interested). My package cost about $1200 total. They offer a good financing plan though with 0% interest for the first year. We had it paid off before then so it worked out perfectly. It is a little painful, and I wouldn't say it feels like rubber band snaps like they say. It feels more like a microscopic needle pricking the skin. But they give you ice to numb the area and after a while, truly, you get used to it. And it only takes a few minutes to the bikini area. Legs take longer, but it doesn't hurt as badly for that area, typically. It is a long process.... you have a treatment about every 90 days and about 10-12 treatments total. Then they offer a 2 yr guarantee where you can still go in for treatments if all the hair isn't gone by then. I'm in my guarantee period now and I'm almost done! It is completely worth it though. Check out http://www.amercianlaser.com

Good luck!

Have you had laser hair removal?

It's quite expensive, I think :/

And I've heard it's quite painful.

Have you had laser hair removal?

The only thing Ive heard is it doesn't work!!!!!!!! also a friend of mines had it done and went to all the treatments and she still grows hair I think it a 50/ 50 chance

Have you had laser hair removal?

I've gotten it done--on my chin and upper lip. I was lucky since my cousin worked for a dermatologist and they did all the procedures for me for free, but laser hair removal can be pretty expensive.

It does hurt...it's like a rubber band being snapped against your skin and you can smell the hair burning. You also get fairly red and sometimes blister as part of the healing process. I love it, but would not have done my legs or bikini--it will take a couple of sessions and each one costs a couple of hundred dollars and the bikini area is very sensitive so it will be even more painful.

What is the best way to grow hair on a 40 something year old whom is thinning?

Hair regrowth in women?

My wife lost the crown of her hair at 22 from entrometreosis. I have a cancer that will kill me, if medicines don't. She is very self-councious about hair. I'm afraid she will be too shy to open to a new soulmate. Any effective treatments except surgery? What are the costs? Thank you.

Hair regrowth in women?

I'm sorry I don't know much about endometreosis.

I just want to let you know that you've restored my faith in the institution of marriage. ^_^

Hair regrowth in women?

im so sorry that is sad but i dont knwo what she could do

Hair regrowth in women?

look the hair will grow back again, just tell her not to worry mate

Hair regrowth in women?

The only medically proven chemical to restore hair loss is Minoxidil which you can get in a liquid form which you either massage into the effected areas or spray on. There is a pill form which is even better at encouraging hair regrowth which you can get from your G.P. I don't know which country you are in but Minoxidil is available in most countries. The effects can take a long time to appear if at all but usually after a year of use you should see new hair. It is a treatment you will have to continue using though. In England the cost is approx 20-30 pounds a month but i believe prices are dropping as more and more companies produce their own versions (Amoxilin is another name used) Like Loreal Vichy etc. Your doctor can give you more information on this. I am sorry but i do not know much about the effects on hair growth from entrometreosis.

Good luck.

Hair regrowth in women?

Dont wait for re-growth just have a little hair weave in that area.

Just be well, and you remain as her soulmate

I saw a kit you could get at Walgreen's that help to straighten your hair and they also make straightening shampoo and conditioner

Straight hair?

there is no way. you need straighteners! for any kind of straightening, they last long as well!

it doesnt have to be really expensive straightners, and as the market floods with different types of makes, you can surely pick one for less than half the price than the origional GHD!

Straight hair?

i think their is FAIR

it is an electric instrument that make your hair straight or by using a cream for straigh hair

Straight hair?

blow drying your hair

Straight hair?

If u like ur hair looking straight all the time, perhaps its time u make an appt with ur hairdresser for a perm, that way u no longer need temporary "fixes".Just remember to mosturize a lot so it doesnt make ur hair all dry %26amp; lookin unhealthy.Good Luck

Straight hair?

Dreadlocks....

Straight hair?

Blow drying can help. Use a brush and hold sections while you dry. Really the only way to get it really straight is to buy a hair straightener. Good ones are expensive but you can get them for as little as $40 and they really do work.

Straight hair?

theres no way you can straighten your hair without using heat. you can blow dry it but you cant get the straight hair like you use the straightener.

FALLING HAIR -

Does your hair fall a lot? Don't worry, you're not alone. Millions of people from all around the world suffer from dry, brittle and weak hair. Some of the possible reasons for falling hair are:

Tension

Too much work

Illness

Poor diet

Over-exposure to the sun

Perming

Amateur bleaching

Too frequent and inexpert use of tints, rinses or other colourants

Here is what you can do to prevent hair fall

Shampoo regularly. Remember, a CLEAN scalp is a HEALTHY SCALP.

Brahmi amla oil also promotes hair growth.

A high protein diet with plenty of fruits, green vegetables and dairy products is a must.

Drink 10-12 glass of water everyday.

Use a very mild shampoo and condition your hair at least twice a week. When you do, make sure you rinse out the conditioner thoroughly, otherwise residue build-up will cause your hair to look limp and dull.

Know your vitamins! IRON is important for healthy hair and brittle, limp hair indicates an iron deficiency. Spinach has a good iron content, so gulp it down!

ZINC helps prevent hair loss and greying. Eat adequate zinc rich foods. Overweight people tend to have zinc deficiency, which is inversely related to the body mass index. Thus if you are overweight and if your hair falls too much, you may want to increase your intake of zinc containing foods. Recipes containing stone ground, wholegrain flour are rich in zinc.

A shortfall in VITAMIN B may cause dandruff, falling hair, loss of colour and could encourage grey hair. So B group Vitamins are essential for gloss, colour and thickness.

VITAMIN C ensures the health of capillaries supplying blood to hair follicles. Make sure your diet includes plenty of fresh fruits and veggies.

VITAMIN E encourages hair growth. Switch from refined flours to wholemeal and wheatgerm, eggs, vegetable oil.

COPPER stops hair from falling. Studies show that the copper content in the blood serum of people with falling hair is less than normal. Different types of alopecia (falling hair) are seen to have a deficiency of this important trace element. Include small quantities of nuts, especially cashews and peanuts, seeds, whole milk and beans in your diet as these contain minute but important amounts of copper.

Homemade remedies for preventing hair fall:

Apply almond oil on scalp and massage.

Grind fenugreek seeds in water and apply on your scalp. Wash off after 40 minutes. Do this every morning for a month if it suits you! Remember, different treatments suit different types of hair.

Massage warm castor oil + almond oil into your scalp gently. Wrap a hot towel around your scalp so it gets absorbed into the hair. Do this twice a week for healthy, shiny hair.

Add 2-3 drops of honey to a glass of water and use this as the last rinse after shampooing.

Quick Hair Care Conditioner

Mix 1 egg, 2 tbs castor oil, 1 tsp vinegar and 1 tsp glycerine. Beat until frothy and massage lightly into your scalp. Wrap your head in a hot towel, steam, then wash off. This conditioner makes hair thicker, shiny, soft and manageable.

Honey Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs (depending on the length of the hair), 1 tsp honey and 2 tsp olive oil. Massage gently into the scalp. Steam, and shampoo after an hour.

Alcohol Conditioner

Beat 1-2 eggs with 2 tsp brandy. Massage into your scalp. Leave for 10-15 mins. Rinse well. The egg nourishes your hair and brandy stimulates hair growth.

Your hair is a vital beauty asset, requiring constant loving care. And with a little nurturing, lush, glossy hair will be yours

ESSENTIALS FOR FALLING HAIR - by Editor

Does your hair fall often Arm yourself with these tools to combat hair fall.

Wide-toothed comb

Get yourself a wide-toothed comb. This is probably one of the most important yet underutilized of all hair tools. A wide-toothed comb helps you distribute conditioner evenly all over your hair while shampooing and conditioning. In addition, it also helps get rid of knots smoothly.

The best time to get rid of knots is during conditioning. Apply conditioner and run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair.

While untangling dry hair, do so in sections. Take one section at a time, and first, untangle the ends of your hair. Do so slowly, and don?t pull unless you want your hair to fall out in clumps or break.

Don?t wait for the last minute before detangling your hair. Every night, while sitting in front of the television, run a wide toothed comb gently through your hair, until you have untangled it completely. Do this every night, and you will notice that your hair remains free from tangles.

Leave-in conditioner

Dry hair tends to tangle easily, and, needless to say, causes it to break. Make sure your hair is never devoid of moisture by always keeping a bottle of leave-in conditioner handy. The next time you feel your hair is dry and rough to the touch, simply rub a dollop of leave-in conditioner between your palms, and apply it to your hair. Comb through with your wide toothed comb. Your hair will be instantly rejuvenated and moisturized. Gradually, the texture will also improve. This is a must if you blow dry your hair regularly, or if it is chemically treated. Such hair constantly craves moisture, so get yourself a bottle of leave-in conditioner.

Oil

Olive, almond and coconut oils are all excellent for the hair. While you could apply oil as an alternative to leave-in conditioner, oil tends to make your hair sticky, and you cannot style your hair well after applying oil. Your only alternative would then be to tie up your hair. For better results with oil, apply just a few drops immediately after washing your hair, when your hair is still dripping wet. Oil doesn?t penetrate the strands as easily as leave-in conditioner does though. Nothing beats a hot oil massage followed by a steam treatment, as the steam helps the oil penetrate the hair strands, strengthening them and curtailing hair fall.

Egg

Egg is great for the hair ? there are no two ways about it! True, it causes a tremendous stink in the bathroom, and your hair may let off an ?eggy? smell, but the results are instantaneous and worth it! Egg strengthens your hair almost immediately, and the egg yolk leaves your hair shining. Whip an egg with two tablespoons of olive oil and apply it to your hair. Wash off after half an hour. Make sure you wash off with cold water though, or the egg will start cooking in your hair, and would be harder to take off! Use a scented shampoo to counter the smell of egg in your hair, and follow up with a leave-in conditioner. Do this for a month, and you will be amazed by the change in your hair texture and the reduction in hair fall.

Has anyone ever heard of Henna 'n' Placena hair conditioner? I want to know how well it wo

I bought this deep condiotioning treatment at Wallgreens and it contains Henna and placenta exract, its supposed to be very good for dry hair. The package says "will not change hair color" but the henna still freaks me out. I wanna hear some elses expierience with the product.

henna only changes the color of ur hair if u mix it with certain ingredients and if it is used alone... the shampoo is gonna be fine for ur hair

How can u stop or slow down hair growth?

Try laser hair removal.

How can u stop or slow down hair growth?

yes, laser treatment would be the only way. as a person who has had it done, it is not painful, worth the money, and doesn't take up that much of your time. I know there are lotions out there that do slow hair growth after you shave but that would most likely only give you another day or so. I guarantee you will be happy with laser treatment, go for it! Try checking out American Laser center...they always have awesome specials

How can u stop or slow down hair growth?

Laser treatments... which I would not recommend since your brain is up there or depillatories. Ask your beauty professional.

How can u stop or slow down hair growth?

try using peanut butter
