Quick hair removal?

Tha doctor who attended to my laser hair removal did the thing very quickly. In about 15 minutes or so, he did my entire face. Now, I know that this laser thing is done relatively faster than electrolysis, but I don't know how.

Doesn't the laser needle have to prick each pore on the skin? If so, then how can it be so easy, as there are several of them on the skin?

I know I should have asked my doctor about it, but it's only after I came home that I realized it. It was my first treatment, too.

My hair is very coarse, grows fast and I'm 22 years old. Do you think 6 sessions are enough for me?

THANKS A MILLION FOR TAKING THE TIME TO ANSWER!!!!

Quick hair removal?

Laser hair removal requires multiple treatments, because the hairs must be in the active growth phase to be removed, and it's not all in the same phase at the same time. It generally takes between 3-15 min. per treatment depending on the areas and how much is being treated. Each pore is not individually treated, like in electrolysis, the laser beam is scattered and affects a larger area, the dermatologist determines the spot size. It's a time-consuming, uncomfortable procedure, but well worth it in the long run!

That's about normal. When they use a laser, they don't get each individual pore. The laser covers a larger area. Any hairs in that area are zapped. It depends on your hair, but I had 5 treatments, and mine has grown back.
