Intensive Conditioning Treatment? Help!?

I went to get a half head of Highlights yesterday but was told my hair was so brittle from being bleached then tinted that I could only get the T section done. The hairdresser then said I could gradually get my hair done as long as I had about three once a week 'Deep Conditioning Treatments' presumably at a salon.

I'm not sure whether they are just trying to squeeze me for money and more appointments, but are there any Conditioning Treatments I can buy to do myself, and do they really work?

I've tried Lifetex self heating mask which didn't do anything, so what can I use now... please help!!

There are lots in Boots, I've tried a couple of single sachet deep conditioning treaments and they were great. I'd try a few different ones if I were you, there are plenty available and they're quite cheap.

if your hair is fried it's fried. Stop the frylights and use a good moisturizer, yes the salon is trying to get your money by convincing you that unless you visit them your hair will be in worse shape.

get some vo5 hot oil and put in a jar of hot water. apply to hair BEFORE washing then wash and use conditioner. OR:

Get a good quality conditioner like 3 minute miracle deep conditioner. Apply it after using shampoo and put a shower cap over your head. Do this before you start washing your body, and whilst this is working you can continued with your shower. Then rinse off and add leave in conditioner that you dont need to wash of.

OR:

before going to bed apply to the length of your hair (not roots) some e45 or astral cream as this cream is quite creamy. Comb it through and tie hair up or wear a cap again. The next morning wash it off witha good quality shampoo then add ordinary conditioner.

Try any of these but the last will give the most results to severly dry hair, and dont ever skimp on shampoos always get good quality designed for colour treated hair. Your hair is crying out for moisture so give it some.

i HAD the same problem and my favourite treatments were Redken - 鎷?5.00 to buy from a salon(cheaper on ebay)

and Aussie 3 minute miracle 鎷?.00

I've heard kerastase intense mask is amazing but it is very expensive and not a large pot (but then again ebay may be the way to go with this one)

your hair is fried leave it alone for awhile and wash it less, conditioners just coat the hair and then wash off, you need to reconstruct, and it sounds like you would benefit from going and paying for it to be done....hair needs to be well kept I have mine extremely light blonde but I put about 700 dollars a month in maintaining it!

there is a treatment whereby i use it once a week.

1st step : use egg white and apply it on ur head. Massage and rinse off it. (protein)

2nd step: use beer. do the same. (protein)

3rd step: make a cup of chamomile tea and cool it. den wash ur hair with the tea. (to clear beer smell)

this is as seen on tv.

hi i'm hairdresser....

deep conditioning treatments do NOT have to be done @ a salon.

conditioning treatments: TIGI dumb blonde conditioner, Aussie miracle 3 min deep conditioner, Paul mitchell hair repair.

i had colour correction and my hair was bleached several times and alot broke off...but i used the TIGI dumb blonde conditioner and mixed with the aussie 1 and it worked well.

also as u do have damage from bleach...

after washing ur hair use a leave in conditioner as this will help detangle and add moisture to the hair.

avoid using the hairdryer on ur hair when u can and if u do use it, make sure u use thermal protection spray...same applies for straighteners.

and get hair cut every 4-6 weeks.
