Greasy hair?

My daughter has a patch of her hair that is greasy. We wash %26amp; condition it 2/3 times per week, but after 1 day the grease patch is back, always in the same place.Does anyone know of a good treatment or shampoo that could deal with this?My daughter is 11.

Greasy hair?

My daughter too suffered from greasy hair. What I found worked was shampoo that contained tea tree oil, peppermint, and rosemary. Bumble and Bumble have a shampoo called "Tonic" and it worked wonders. You may want to stop conditioning her hair for a while, as it can create a build up.

Greasy hair?

You can also cut a lime and put it as a treatment for like 5 minutes b4 you wash her hair that really works!!!!!!!!!! and is cheap that tea tree shampoo works 2 Report It

Greasy hair?

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.... Keep eating greasy stuff and you will have greasy hair all the time..... Report It

Greasy hair?

pat powder on it!

Greasy hair?

im 17, my hair gets greasy in a day if i dont wash it

Greasy hair?

dont use conditioner. it can cause greasy hair because of the added moisture. just use a nice shampoo that is specially made to prevent greasyness

Greasy hair?

To temporarily remove the patch sprinkle a little baby powder or baking soda on the patch.

Greasy hair?

it could just be her hormones, she's at that age, so it might pass in a little while in the meantime try just using shampoo for greasy hair and no conditioner

Greasy hair?

An 11 yr old girl should be washing her own hair daily.

Greasy hair?

I started with greasy hair when I got to about 11. Its most likely just her hormones that are causing the greasy hair. My skin started to change about that age too, so you may notice she starts getting 'teenage spots' shortly.

I used a general shampoo that was for greasy hair, and as my hair only seemed to get greasy at the roots, I restricted my conditioning to every other wash, and only applied to the ends of my hair. Washing every day isn't necessarily the answer. As to which product works best and how often you use it will just be down to trial and error.

Greasy hair?

wash it everyday and only condition it 1-2 times a week, the conditioner adds moisture, making the grease come back faster. when you add that and the moisture from the days it isnt washed, it gets nasty.

Greasy hair?

You can try Lime jucie in warm water, that helps alot, with greasy hair problem...

Greasy hair?

Try getting a shampoo that's specifically for greasy hair - also make sure that conditioner is only applied on the lengths of the hair, not right down to the roots.

if she plays with her hair or touches it a lot around the greasy patch, this will stimulate the follicles to create more grease - so if she leaves it alone (if she can manage this! I know when my hair gets a bit greasy i tend to move it about more to try and disguise it, which then makes it worse!), the problem shouldn't be so bad. I wouldn't put any powder on it, as this will just look grey against the hair, and can then clump into bits and look like dandruff.

It's probably just her hormones at the beginnings of puberty (do you have older children who might've had this before but not said anything, or is she the eldest?), but it might be worth seeing a doctor - they may refer her to a trichologist who can pinpoint the problem. It's probably nothing to worry about, but I'd completely understand the annoyance as she's at an age where she'll be more conscious of her appearance.

Greasy hair?

Try a little bit of baking soda in her shampoo, if that doesnt work try a little lemon juice in her shampoo. Worth a try.

Greasy hair?

I find that the citrus Head and Shoulders works quite well. The greasey patch is probably a result of hormonal imbalances and fluxuations, but it might be worth getting checked out by a dermatologist or someone if your daughter is having real problems with it.

Greasy hair?

was her hair every single day and stop conditioning it. When I use conditioner(i dont anymore) my hair would get really soft but ultra greasy and its hoorible!

Greasy hair?

wash it every single day... The grease is a product of WHAT YOU ARE FEEDING HER OR WHAT SHE IS EATING.... Stop the greasy food and the body grease will decrease....
