Is there is any solution other than laser treatment to remove permanantly unwanted facial hairs from

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful. Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged. A review of the various hair removal methods is available at

Is there is any solution other than laser treatment to remove permanantly unwanted facial hairs from a women.?

There used to be a treatment with an electric needle pushed in the route of the hair to destroy it; if the aesthetician was not a very skillful one, it used to hurt, swell and look very bad for one day or two; I don't think you would like to use it, would you?

yes electrolysis which is a process of passing current through the cells to destroy production of hair - but its expensive, sometimes painful and time consuming.

Keep them and dnt worry about them

There's a product called Vaniqa that is supposed to keep facial from growing back as quickly as shaving or other dipilatories. It requires a prescription. Ask your doctor. Or read up on it first and decide if you want to try it.

Besan can be useful. Use regularly. Generally, for kids born with a lot of facial hair, besan paste is used to rub off. Shaving off may not help you out. Besides ridding you of the hairs it will act as a fairness cream too.

Darkening my hair?

I've dyed my hair dark (back to my natural colour) and the blonde from before has come back through only slightly and its coming through patchy. I've used all sorts of colour treatments i just need an easy remedy that can darken my hair (im trying not to dye it again but will if its the only option) Thanks x

Darkening my hair?

dont try to dye it the natural color. you will have to dye it again. but this time dye it a shade or 2 darker then your natural. itll fade out to your natural color. good luck!

Darkening my hair?

I suppose it would depend on the hair color brand. If you use a cheap (I hate that word) brand, the blond will show through and you will have to dye it again. I have red hair and I dyed it dark brown with a cheap color brand and the red came through. I used a more expensive brand and it's stayed and it's been almost 6 weeks now. I used Preference by Loreall (now for the commercial). Also, the shampoo you use can wash out the color. Make sure you use one of the new brands, that is specially made for the color you used, at first, then you can use one that is for color treated hair. Never use a dandruff shampoo......it strips the color fast. Hope this helps.

Darkening my hair?

put in sunblock to keep the sun from fading the color.

Darkening my hair?

Have you tried those panteen dyes? You buy the shade you want your hair to be and put a little in every time you shower. You leave it in for a few minutes, then wash. There's more and more of a difference everyday

Blonde hair help!!!?

i have blonde hair (dyed) and it just started turning kinda brassy (orange tones). I know that i should tone it, but i don't want to ruin my hair, so i want to try natural or home treatments first. i also know about purple/blue silver shampoos and i have that. I was wondering if i mix grapefruit juice with either the purple or john frieda blonde shampoo if that would help. i read that grapefruit helps tone? so can i have some ideas?! thanks sooo much

Blonde hair help!!!?

Go in and see a stylist. You are just asking for trouble if you do it yourself.

Blonde hair help!!!?

go to pro cutes and di it Brown and get a trim

Blonde hair help!!!?

All tints go in range from black through red to lightest blonde, what you should do is mix half and half your target colour with an ash tint , if your target colour (the colour you want to end up) is mid to light blonde then mix it half and half with a mid or light ash blonde and always do what it says on the box. Get it, got it, good!!!!

Ingrown hair in groin area?

I have what I think is an ingrown hair on my groin. There is no 'head' on it as such but it is quite large (about the size and length of my thumb) and is causing me some discomfort. Should I leave it alone or is there any treatment for this such as lancing (aaargh!!!). I'd rather not go to the doctor as it's a bit embarassing but will if I really must. Had it for 3 days now.

Ingrown hair in groin area?

First of all, eww!

Secondly, I have had to deal with this in the past. The best way to get it to drain is to apply a warm compress to it for about 10 minutes every hour. Just take a washcloth and soak it in warm water or as hot as you can tolerate. Apply it for 10 minutes or until no longer warm, and do this every hour or so. It will come to a head, burst, and begin to discharge within a day, so continue to clean the discharge as it drains.

If the area becomes infected, you MUST see a doctor right away!

Ingrown hair in groin area?

You really really do need to go and see a doctor. It will be excruciatingly painful for you - even more so if you mess with it and it all goes wrong. You could indeed do yourself damage if you either do not get something done about it or if you try and do it yourself.

Yes its embarrassing for you - but trust me doctors have seen it all before and will operate on a totally professional basis. They will also know how to fix the problem properly.

Seriously - make the appointment now and save yourself a lot of pain.

Ingrown hair in groin area?

You don't have to be embarrassed. Go to the Doctor, Don't suffer.

Ingrown hair in groin area?

The size of your thumb???!!! Jeez get to the docs asap!!!! Has it grown from nothing to that size in 3 days?? That is really worrying, you really need to get it seen to. Good luck and hey, come back and let us know what the hell it is ok?? xx

Ingrown hair in groin area?

You could try scrubbing the area with something slightly rough in order to scrub off dead skin cells depending on how deep it is anyways...

Ingrown hair in groin area?

yes defiantly go to the Doctor, it is embarrassing (i know, done it) but the will have a look and probably just give you antibiotics . Good Luck!!

Ingrown hair in groin area?

It sounds like you have an abcess there and you need to see a Dr ASAP.

Embarrassing, the Dr won't blink twice at it. Go today you need to get that sorted.

Ingrown hair in groin area?

Get a pair of tweezers and pull it out... do you have your bikini line waxed, that could be the cause.... then once you have pulled the hair out of the skin, tweak it right out.... then you will need to use a loofah or body buffer down there regularly to keep the hair follicles from growing under the skin.

Ingrown hair in groin area?

i would usually have a go at somthing like this myself if it was me but the size you say will prompt me to advise you to go to the doctors and get it looked at properly to stop infection

go see him today

Ingrown hair in groin area?

Personally I would go to the doctor, I had a similar thing, didn't bother going to the doctor, it ended up being so painful i couldn't walk and had to go into the hospital for a general anesthetic and op to drain it.

Go to the doctors now and he can probably drain it and save all the bother

Ingrown hair in groin area?

Go to the chemist or a beauty salon and buy a product called Ingrow Go- see blurb below

"Ingrow Go閳?can also prevent new ingrown hairs from forming. Its potent ingredients have a two way action. First, the antibacterial action cleans out and purifies the infected pore, reducing swelling, redness and impurities. Secondly the exfoliating action removes the dead skin and gently releases the trapped hair"

I've used this before and it takes about a day but does release trapped hair and also prevents ingrown hairs in future.

If that doesn't work defintely visit the doctor.

Ingrown hair in groin area?

Use peroxide give it time to grow back leave it alone for now until you get the situation under control. Hopes this works for you.

Next time Buy a pair of hair clippers (Walmart) to shave $10.00

Shaving to close can cause ingrown hairs. use warm water to soften hairs when using different creams do note creams are not good due to sensitivity

Have any of you ever had laser treatment for acne scars or do you know anything about it???

I'm 23 and I've had body acne on my back since I hit puberty. It's pretty bad and I absolutly hate it!!! I can't wear shirts with open back, unless I cover it with make-up and keep my hair down. Most of the scars are on my lower back. Recently, I've been using Neutrogena Body Clear Body Scrub and it helps a bit, but it won't take away the scars. I also use cocoa butter sometimes on my back, but I know that it won't solve the major scars.

I've been doing some research and I've come to the conclusion that the only way to solve this problem is to get laser treatment for scar removal. I know it's expensive, but I'm gonna have to charge it and make payments for a while. But this is soooooo important to me, that it will be worth it...I hope! This is the onle thing I wish I could change about myself!

So, what do you know about laser scar removal treatments? How well does it work? What is the price range? How often do you think I will have to go? Does it cause any pain? Side effects?

Have any of you ever had laser treatment for acne scars or do you know anything about it???

Laser and microdermabrasion can both work well....peels can sometimes help as well. The better choice is dependent on your skin type and the depth of the scarring. Also, be aware that there are two types of laser treatments. One is called resurfacing which takes off the top layer of skin and the 2nd is rejuvenation which causes collagen regrowth. The 1st gives more dramatic results, quickly but has a longer recovery time and costs more.

Costs can range depending on the size of the area that needs treatment. You can probably expect to pay $350 per Tx and you will need 3-6 treatements to really help. Good luck.
